Nokia Booklet 3G Review

The Booklet 3G battery design comes from a battery of 1000 mAh Nokia mobile phone. Around this building as an energy source, Nokia has created a Slim-Line 16-removable battery was evaluated in the use of 12 hours. However, Nokia is more realistic to see eight to nine hours more than average workday.

The 3G mobile chassis is made from a single piece of aircraft aluminum, not any breaks or joins. The frame is part of the dispersion of heat netbook design, since the device has no cooling fans. Nokia has abandoned the traditional methods of cooling a laptop, using instead of heat sinks and liabilities are based primarily on the larger chassis.

With all the netbooks we’ve seen and used, the fan is activated if at some point during the benchmarking process, as the processor heat must go somewhere. When we get our review unit for the appropriate test would be interesting to see how he manages the Prospectus processor intensive tasks like video encoding or even a high-definition playback Flash.

Image brochure does not display an image that is so sharp and clear, as we are accustomed. The 10.1in LCD screen reminds netbooks Asus Eee PC first came in 2007. Those who were a little blurry because of the scarcity of construction and materials used in the TFT LCD technology, and Nokia 3G Flyers back then.

On a more positive note, the screen can display a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. This is not normal to see resolution 10-inch screens, such as 1024 x 600 netbook is more frequent in the sample size.

The booklet has a very thin and is one of the thinnest we’ve seen in a first generation model. Its total thickness of only 19.9mm, which is only five millimeters wider than the thickness of the MacBook Air, and 264mm wide and 185mm deep.

On the right side is a flap is a SIM slot and SD card reader. This is not compatible with SDHC cards with higher capacity, but this is irrelevant because we are more interested in functionality rather than the SIM card if it has removable storage, with more than 4 GB of capacity .

The SIM card is easily accessible and not buried under the battery or any other place that is dark, as is too often seen in other netbooks. The SIM card is hot swappable without stopping or restarting the system. This may contribute to the peace of mind of those who may fear that the prospectus does not use the Wi-Fi and May, instead of working on a given important bills of mobile phone contract, but all connections are easy to use by software operating system.

3G/HSPA built-in modem can be used for data calls over 800-850/900/2100 WCDMA 900/2100 or GSM. The netbook is the Intel Poulsbo US15W mobile high-definition graphics PowerVR SGX, which are all powered by an Intel Z530 clocked at 1.6 GHz.

On the keyboard, the keys are slightly spaced from each other, but we found it very easy to use, our short time using the device.

There are other subtleties thoughtful booklet included in the 3G, the Nokia Ovi suite, access to Nokia Music for PC, Toshiba 120GB HDD, HDMI and audio jack.

As it runs Windows 7 do not expect the 3G Nokia brochure to be on shelves until sometime in late October. It will be priced at € 575 (£ 506).

Review Apple iPhone Spotify Mobile

Spotify has been the talk of gadget geeks and lovers of music and since its launch earlier this year in Europe.

On the PC (or Mac) can be described as a huge jukebox that allows you to release the music of your choice and make the collection of your favorite bands and songs, at once, one being iTunes. But free. The trick is that you are not legally “own” music, but listening through the Internet.

The soft Spotify for the Apple iPhone launched Monday, September 7th, 2009. Within days, he became the number one active collaboration in the App Store (no small feat considering that there are over 75,000 that already exist).

Apple iPhone Spotify

Once you have downloaded the application for the iPhone arrives at the login page that is immediately required to register for an account Spotify Premium (at a cost of £ 10 per month, which can be canceled at any time – not to sign a length of twelve months or more contracts from here). And while very few people actually like paying for music more, you get the bonus of not having to endure those annoying little ads that pop up now and after the desktop version of the APA.

After swallowing the bitter pill to pay to use Spotify on the iPhone, the application itself is no less pleasant to use. Your iPhone music library reflects what you have in your library computer-based music (and vice versa).

You can find songs almost immediately if you are in a Wi-Fi, or a few seconds if you’re in a 3G connection. And you can save up to 3333 favorite songs as “playlists offline ‘you can choose to listen anytime you are within range of a network. A massive bonus. And a feature that Spotify promises to soon reach the desktop version.

Creation of new or updated reading lists, disposal and waste time with your loved one and is pretty quick and easy. He quickly got used to search the entire discographies of all our favorite bands and order accordingly.

While some users have reported problems with noise and sound quality, that have not experienced such problems in the three days of hammering on the phone Spotify Jesus. We imagine that serious audiophiles only listen to their music via iPhone of thousands of pounds in expensive hi-fi equipment or boxes of kit noise cancellation may have noticed a difference in fidelity music.

For the record, the iPhone Spotify music is streamed using the Ogg Vorbis codec at 160 kbps, compared with the Premium version of Office that runs at 320kbps. This means that if you connect your desktop version in the house of his hi-fi kit, you will not be disappointed.

This is the “Playlist no connection” on app really does for us. We’ve even been to remove the iPod icon four Perma icons at the bottom of the iPhone screen and replaced by a permanent Spotify icon. Synchronize music is quite fast, but if you synchronize a value of 3333 all songs via your Wi-Fi, you can go do something else for an hour or two (or just leave it on overnight).

Still using the iPod app on our iPhone to maintain some essential albums to listen at all times, mainly because you can not do anything on the phone while listening to your songs Spotify, then you can always listen to your album on the iPod in the background while browsing in Safari, check your email, update their Facebook / Flickr and do Bits and Bobs do while in his brand new 3GS. (Apparently, new versions Android S60 is perfectly in the background).

But Spotify landing on the iPhone, the music got better.

Apple iPod Touch Available in 64GB model

Stalwart Apple’s Phil Schiller took the stage to present the following range of iPod, but not before some interesting facts delusion. The iPod now has 73.8 percent of the U.S. market, with Microsoft having only 1.1 percent of the pie.

“Just over 50 percent of customers are new to the iPod is the iPod first, called Schiller, will say the iPod Touch is the” fastest growing line of iPod. ” So far we have sold 20 million iPods Touch, as well as the 30 million iPhones.

With gaming capabilities on the iPhone and iPod Touch, Schiller said that the Sony PSP has 607 titles, the Nintendo DS 3680, and the iPod Touch and iPhone is 21,178. Amazing things.

Assassin’s Creed 2 demonstration platforms for iPhone and iPod Touch, available later this year. Users can take pictures of your picture library and download the game, using art “game” as a “wanted” poster on the wall.

Bart Decrem, CEO of Tapulous, has taken the next step to show the next game Tap Tap. With one million players just three weeks after Tap Tap Revenge has been added to the App Store, Riddins tape seems willing to continue the success. As a fusion of Wipeout and Tap Tap, seems pretty decent.

Mark Hickey, Gameloft showed his next game, Nova, used multi-players.
EA’s Madden NFL game generously in the App Store, which is a boon for Apple. It seems a bit boring for us but never really understood the NFL anyway.

“There is something for everyone at the Touch and iPhone, Schiller said, with more than 21,000 game titles and entertainment on the App Store.

“$ 199 is a magic price in the market for iPod,” Schiller said, announcing that the iPod Touch will be reduced in price of only $ 199 for the 8GB model. For $ 299, customers can get a 32GB model and $ 399 for just a 64 GB model stores will be added. That is 50 percent faster in “almost everything you do.” “This is what distinguishes the next generation will use” apparently.

Turning to the iPod Classic, which now offer a 160GB model for $ 249. The iPod Shuffle, meanwhile, will be available in five colors from today, with black, pink, green and blue to reach the silver model. $ 59 for the 1GB model, $ 79 for the 4GB model. Review Advent Altro Notebook

The new Intel Consumers Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) processors promise to improve the performance of energy efficiency that Intel Atom netbook in many, but at a lower price than the more conventional use Intel Centrino chip.

Consequently, a new wave of affordable “thin and light” notebook CULV are expected in the coming months, although the first one we reviewed, the Asus UX30 was a little too much to qualify.

At 600 pounds, Advent Altro seems like a better candidate and has an area similar to the Asus UX30 elegant. The silver plastic case is not quite the same prestige, however, and its adjustment profile is defeated by two large air intakes on each side. However, lack of ventilation at the bottom, at least, means that Altro can be safely used on your lap.

Advent Altro

However, Altro is still only 21mm thick and has a removable battery. Perhaps just as well since it was found that the battery life to use the light was only three hours and two minutes.

A large keypad and 13.3IN bright screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 compared to the two main complaints has stabilized in most netbooks, and make Altro much more comfortable to wear for long periods. The glossy finish on the trackpad does not bother us, however, because it is too sticky to slide a finger gently.

Advent supplies from a port replicator that allows small Altro to sit in the middle of a set-up office, supplementing HDMI and USB integrated with Ethernet, VGA and a pair of USB ports, but it raises a little concern. The plugs on the port replicator as well as food and, while giving a pass because, although harbor, it takes the form of a large owner of several pins instead of mounting the cutting edge usually circular. It seems solid enough, but it will be harder for a replacement power supply, especially in a pinch.

The low voltage Intel Celeron M 723 in Advent Altro is not as capable as equally frugal CULV Core 2 Duo chip in the Asus UX30. In fact, it’s just faster than the Intel Atom, and since it is a single-chip heart, which offers no advantage when running multiple applications. It has the same problems as the atom when it comes to video playback in full screen, but this is no consolation.

Given its performance and specifications, the advent Altro is a big step up from the Eee PC 1101HA, however, costs more. It was only a fraction of the battery life of Eee PC, an ultraportable that does not last long outside the network is really not much at all.
